The terms of the class action suit called for the offended to receive $5 in compensation. The reader who wrote us was offended, but not for a reason you might think. He writes:

    “I got my settlement check from the GTA class action suit. $5. You had to swear you were offended by Hot Coffee. I was offended that I was unable to access it.”
